CPPGroup Plc (CPP) is a leading provider of Life Assistance products and services with approximately ten million live policies in 14 different countries.

These products and services are designed to meet consumer needs across a range of areas relating to everyday living, in particular credit and debit card ownership, personal identity, mobile telephones, travel and the home.

The Group primarily focuses on providing customer assistance during stressful life events such as the loss or theft of a wallet, purse, mobile phone or keys, as well as providing support in the event of identity theft. The Group continues to widen its product and services portfolio to capitalise on the evolving and growing Life Assistance market.

The range of products that CPP offers reflects the fact that consumers have different needs on different occasions. In some circumstances they need immediate help and assistance without which they cannot continue with their daily lives, such as when their payment cards are lost or stolen or their identity is hijacked. At the other end of the spectrum, our products help customers to get the most out of a particular situation or experience, like travelling abroad, by providing access to airport lounges and interpreter translation services. We use the term ‘Life Assistance’ to define the overall market for our products and services.

CPP was formed in 2010 as the holding company of a group of companies incorporated in the UK in 1980. In 1981, the Group launched Card Protection as its first product. The success of Card Protection facilitated the international expansion of the Group, as CPP has progressively rolled out this product to Business Partners in the UK and internationally. The Group has reproduced its business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) business model overseas; first in Germany (1991), Ireland (1993), Spain (1995) and then subsequently Portugal (2000), Italy (2001) and France (2003). In 2003, CPP entered the US market following its acquisition of Metris Enhancement Services. More recently, CPP launched in Hong Kong (2004), Singapore (2005), Malaysia (2006), Turkey (2007), India (2008) and Mexico (2009). CPP expects to launch operations in China in 2010.

Today the Group has three core categories of products and services, including Card Protection, Identity Protection and Phonesafe mobile phone insurance.

Collectively the Group employs approximately 1,900 people and works with more than 200 Business Partners internationally.
